Petition
Remedy Scotland are circulating a petition, calling for reform to the way junior doctors are appointed.
We the undersigned request that the Scottish Executive and governments action the following:
- Acknowledge that a significant number of doctors working in Scotland are to lose to their jobs in August. This will potentially affect patient care.
- Support Scottish domiciled doctors disadvantaged by an unfair job application and selection system.
- Guarantee that no junior doctor currently working in NHS Scotland will be unemployed as a result of the current crisis.
- To commit to a fair and transparent job interview system for applications to Scotland.
- To increase the number of long term training posts in Scotland, therefore benefiting future patients and doctors and generally improving morale within the NHS.
